NCODE Nonprofit Inc., or as we are known, and in 2025, also as "The Odd-Call Charity of Hope," was inspired back on Thanksgiving Day in 2004 in Rowan County, North Carolina, when a community of low-income persons was found without Thanksgiving dinner. Hunger was alleviated that day by the delivery of hundreds of meals prepared by a local church, which had prepared meals but did not know who they would serve. This blessing developed into a neighborhood formation committee. Later the idea of the neighbor helping the needy was inspired, and a formal board was formed, and in 2005 a board of directors was formally incorporated.
We began as a small field ministry and mobile mission to address the needs of the needy. After our corporate pilot projects and anti-poverty programs were successful combating poverty with our "boots on the ground" strategy, we proceeded to formalize a national program. In 2019, with the help of vendors with modern technology, our charity transitioned to serve at a higher level and is now motivated to move forward to launch our unique national program. We do not duplicate services to the needy but refer and serve as a collaboration arm of continued support for funded and established similar mission-related organizations and ministries. Our goal is to reach and respond to as many deserving and disadvantaged individuals as possible through our programs.
