Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County

  • Mission

Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County (HFHMC), an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, seeks to eliminate sub-standard housing and help low-income families achieve the dream of homeownership. It works with people from all walks of life to develop communities by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities where people can live and grow.

    About Us

Since 1993, the dedicated volunteers of the Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County have been building and repairing homes to provide decent, affordable housing to low income families. Homeowners are also served through our Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative (NRI); encompassing, A Brush with Kindness (ABWK) and our Home Repair Program (HRP). These programs help homeowners that struggle to maintain the exterior and interior of their homes.

In response to Super Storm Sandy, HFHMC has expanded its range and scope of programs to include storm related repair and reconstruction services benefitting Sandy impacted homeowners. To date, over 40 families have benefitted. It is the goal of HFHMC to assist an additional 100 homeowners through this program in the coming year.
