About Us

The BGSU Graduate College is dedicated to preparing its graduate students for real world challenges within a vibrant research-based, interdisciplinary, and international graduate environment. The approximately 2,500 students are enrolled in 17 doctorate and 54 masters' degrees, together with one specialist and 13 certificate programs across six academic colleges. Within these programs, our graduate students are engaged in professionally oriented degrees that prepare them immediately for successful careers or highly academic programs preparing them for a life of research, scholarship, and creative endeavors in and outside higher education. To enrich this experience, more than half of the graduate students are funded through graduate assistantships that provide applied academic experience while working full-time on their degree. In addition to full-time education, the Graduate College is dedicated to creating flexible and varied learning experiences that fit into students' current professional life-styles through part-time, week-end/evening, or on-line/blended programs.
