Feed and Read Ohio
Mission
Jacques Angelino, founder of Feed & Read Ohio, has been fighting hard to deliver food and books to underserved areas in Ohio, focusing on at-risk immigrant communities. For more than 15 years, Angelino has been delivering food to fight hunger, and books to fight illiteracy. In February 7, 2017, Feed & Read Ohio was formalized under a 501 (c)(3) and with it its work in central Ohio was started.
We operate on simple principles: every person deserves dignity, food to eat and the right to literacy. At Feed & Read Ohio we provide food and books for around 180 families every week, donate backpacks full of school supplies for back-to-school, and hand out turkeys and hams for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter every year.
We rely on volunteers to shop and deliver groceries to First Unitarian Universalist Church for Jaques to distribute. To volunteer, please fill out the form at feedandreadohio.org/volunteer
