ARTogether

ARTogether is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that designs creative programs to ensure refugees flourish in their new homes. Our organization works to generate compassion, human connection, and prosperity for refugees and immigrants throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Based in Oakland, ARTogether organizes art workshops and inclusive social gatherings, supports refugee artists, and educates the public about refugees’ stories in the Bay Area and around the globe.

ARTogether’s mission is to: (1) Bring refugees, immigrants and the wider community together through art workshops and social gatherings; (2) Offer healing and art therapy to refugees experiencing PTSD and other mental health issues; (3) Support refugee artists by employing them as art educators, and by connecting refugee artists to local art galleries and social venues that help them to find new markets for their art; and (4) Bring the arts to Bay Area schools, launching engaging arts programs that promote positive images of refugees and immigrants.
