Street Medics Austin provides free medical services in situations that are difficult to serve for traditional institutions - protests, disaster areas, and under-served communities, including regular unhoused outreach across Austin and the greater Central Texas area. We also contribute to state-wide and country-wide mutual aid networks, providing coordination support, volunteers, and supplies to organizations in need during natural disasters and civil unrest.
Street Medics Austin shall be operated exclusively for all things incidental to, or appropriate in, the purpose of:
Supporting and enabling the peoples’ first amendment rights by providing free-of-charge basic first-aid support and harm-reduction techniques at protests, rallies, marches, other peaceable assemblies, and civic engagements; Providing free-of-charge first-aid and harm-reduction outreach to Austin’s unhoused population; Strengthening and safeguarding the local Austin community by offering free-of-charge/low-cost first-aid/harm reduction training and resources to obtain free-of-charge first-aid and harm reduction training; Supporting and enabling other alike organizations who are also working toward the same purposes.
