Well Done Foundation

  • About Us

At the Well Done Foundation, we are committed to ensuring the vitality of our environment and public health by plugging orphan oil and gas wells. Together, we are combatting climate change, protecting our water resources and conserving our precious natural habitats.

The vision for the Well Done Foundation (WDF) came together during the summer of 2019 after Curtis Shuck (founder and Chairman) visited the legacy Kevin-Sunburst Oilfield in northern Montana. He saw firsthand the impacts of orphaned and abandoned oil and gas wells on communities and the environment.

To date (Sept, 2024) we have plugged 45 wells emitting more than 2 million metric tons of CO2e. We invite you to visit our abandoned gas and oil well projects here. With support from individuals and other organizations we are committed to fight climate change by plugging wells and reducing methane and CO2.
