YOLO DIAPER BANK

  • Mission

Yolo Diaper Bank works to remove diaper need as a barrier to the health and stability of Yolo County families. An estimated 1 in 3 families in Yolo County must choose between providing diapers for their children and paying for basic living expenses. We are a volunteer-run organization committed to ending this challenge by collecting and purchasing diapers for distribution to agencies serving families in need.

    About Us

Our founder heard the Texas Diaper Bank Director talk about the diaper need created by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 during a news broadcast, she started researching diaper need in our local community. Over the next several months, she met with local agencies serving families with young children, visited the diaper bank serving the San Francisco area, and attended a national diaper bank conference. She learned that families in Yolo County went without the diapers they needed for their babies every day. Some wonderful friends and volunteers agreed that we could help our neighbors access the diapers they need, and so the Yolo Diaper Bank was formed in the fall of 2018. We have been delivering diapers to families in need through our community partners for more than five years now. We continue to be a volunteer-run organization that has a place for everyone who wants to ensure children have the diapers they need. Our motto is, "Keep Yolo County Dry, One Bottom at a Time." Our goal is to package and deliver 200,000 diapers in 2024.
