    Mission Statement: Good Samaritan Ministries is a faith-based organization that provides on a short and/or long term basis, as applicable, assistance for those in need, including but not limited to food, clothing, shelter, warmth, supplies, training, education, counseling, mentoring, and social services in Carter, Greene, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington Counties.

    About Us

    Good Samaritan Ministries is a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization, founded March 8, 1985, in Johnson City, Tennessee as a benevolent organization that provides for the documented emergency needs of the poor, low income, homeless, individuals/families-at-risk, children, veterans and elderly populations. We also provide services to those re-establishing their lives after incarceration. Our proven record of service to the poor of our community stands alone.

    Our primary focus client service areas are the residents of Johnson City and Washington County. However, we provide services in a total of six counties: Washington, Carter, Unicoi, Johnson, Greene and Sullivan counties. We have been in our current facility at 100 North Roan Street for just over three years now. In July 2014 we will open our new facility at 331 Industrial Park Drive, Piney Flats
