About Us

SOur mission is to explore the potential of marginalised young people and make them architects of Peace Building and sustainable development.

The vision will be achieved through education, health, environmental Conservation, and SMEs in the remotest and semi-urban areas of Uganda.

A) EDUCATION:

Invisible Talents is committed to promoting vocational skills training such as Computer literacy campaigns, Hair dressing and cosmetology, Bricklaying and concrete practice, Woodwork and Carpentry, Wielding and metal fabrication, Catering and Hotel management, Art and Craft among others. This is aimed at making the youth Job creaters other than Job seekers in a country where 80% of the youth are un employed.

Invisible Talents hopes to secure funds to establish a vocational Institute in Katerera Town Council where all the above mentioned skills will be practically taught. As a result, we will see the change the youth will create in not only their families and communities but also on a national level. Poverty levels among the youth and their immediate families will significantly reduce as one our measures of output.

B) HEALTH

Invisible Talents envisions a community that will be disease free especially those that arise out of poor hygienic conditions. The youth will participate in Voluntary community work collecting, treating and disposing off garbage to rightful places for recyling. We intend to recruit Village Health Volunteers to help sensitize the people on Malaria and HIV/AIDS preventative techniques like clearing bushes around homes and sleeping under treated mosquito nets on one hand and, Abstainance, bieng faithful to each other , use of condoms and how to positively live with HIV/AIDS on the other hand . To this end, we will supply mosquito nets to poor households basing on the available funding.

C) ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION

The youth will participate in tree planting and propagating the campaign of "cut once plant twice" literally meaning that if you cut one tree then plant two tress. Experience has reaved that due to scarcity of firewood, trees have become prey to not only commercial lumbermen but also domestic consumers. In order to conserve the environment, we have to educate the public on the best available alternatives for firewood or how to reduce the adverse impacts of deforestation and swamp reclaimation. Invisible Talents in abid to ensure environmental sustainability will mobilise all the stakeholders to take action through sensitization campaigns and demonstration workshops.

D) SMALL AND MEDIUM INCOME ENTERPRISES (SMES)

In order to enable the youth become architects of sustainable development, equiping them with business skills especially on how to run SMES will be pertinent. Under Invisible Talents Vocational Institute, the youth who are interested in business will undergo a series of intensive training aimed at equiping them with necessary skills to run business on their own and make profits. The foundation will adopt a revolving fund model to ensure sustainability of this project. The youth who get small loans to start their business will reimburse it over a period of time to enable others attain a similar experience and improve their lives.
