Since 1939, the Bread of Life Mission has been changing the lives of those who are homeless, poor and struggling with addiction through the power of Christ and the extraordinary support of our community.

Homelessness isn’t just about a lack of shelter. It’s about a lack of relationships. It’s feeling unseen, alone and often without hope.

Within the context of providing help to homeless individuals, we often see either accountability with no support, or support with no accountability. We strive to provide both support and accountability.

We believe that humans are made in the image of God and therefore, every life has inherent value. We believe life transformation is possible, and achievable with Christ-centered compassion.

At Bread of Life Mission, we believe every person deserves genuine hope, dignity, and a path toward wholeness. Since 1939, we’ve served Seattle’s most vulnerable by helping them move from surviving to stability.

We serve men who are caught in homelessness or addiction. We have an enhanced shelter, a life change program, and transitional housing for our graduates.
