Herndon United Methodist Church Preschool

A Preschool child develops in many ways, including physically, cognitively, socially, emotionally and spiritually. At Herndon United Methodist Church Preschool the goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment, giving each child the room, the guidance and the encouragement to develop confidence through active participation in carefully designed activities. There will be opportunities to play and learn; to be curious creatively; to feel success through achievement in an atmosphere of faith, hope and love.

Herndon United Methodist Church has been serving the Herndon and surrounding communities for over 20 years. Over 35 years ago, the YWCA began operating a preschool, leasing space from Herndon United Methodist Church. In 1993, the Church began to consider starting thier own preschool just as the YWCA was deciding to end their preschool program. It was a natural transition and in 1994, HUMC Preschool welcomed its first students. We have been providing a loving, nurturing environment for children ever since.
