Carlisle Area Health & Wellness Foundation

The Carlisle Area Health & Wellness Foundation is a leader, catalyst and grantmaking institution that is dedicated to ensuring continuous improvement of health in our surrounding communities. Serving portions of a four-county region in South Central Pennsylvania, our mission is to identify and address health care needs and policies, promote responsible health practices, and enhance access to and delivery of health services.

The Foundation engages the community as partners in health promotion by assessing community needs; educating the community about health issues and actions; working in partnership with community stakeholders; and helping to foster health and wellness related public policy changes. We provide funding for grants and initiatives that address identified needs through the use of evidence-based strategies and best practices; support training and technical assistance to build community capacity; and require grantees to demonstrate performance as a return on Foundation investment.
