Thirty years ago, Sunshine Community Health Center (SCHC) was founded by a grassroots effort to provide the first basic healthcare services to the Upper Susitna Valley. Today SCHC is open 6 days per week with two locations, in Willow and Talkeetna. SCHC provides employment for over sixty employees and offers medical, dental and behavioral health services to approximately 6,000 rural residents within a 12,000 square mile service area.

SCHC is a federally qualified community health center and a private non-profit corporation governed by a volunteer community board. It has two primary health care delivery sites in Willow and Talkeetna. SCHC is committed to providing quality, comprehensive health care services with special consideration for medically underserved populations.
