The Providence Plan
The mission of The Providence Plan (ProvPlan), a city-state partnership, is to improve the economic and social well-being of the City of Providence and the State of Rhode Island: researching, analyzing and providing access to reliable and timely data and related information; building the capacity of and facilitating partnerships among public, private, non-profit and community organizations; and developing and implementing strategies and programs that are designed to create system change and significantly improve the way services and support are provided to the community.
The Providence Plan is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation originally created in 1992 by the State of Rhode Island and the City of Providence to direct the revitalization of Providence.
