About Us
Los Cenzontles Mexican Arts Center is an innovative Latino led, artist driven organization that cultivates Latino youth and raises awareness of Latino culture in America through participatory arts programming, outreach, performances, cultural consultations, and digital media content.
Since 1994, LCMAC has trained thousands of students in traditional Mexican music, dance, and visual arts; performed at venues in the U.S. and internationally; researched and revived valuable Mexican cultural traditions in the U.S., produced 20 CDs, 3 feature-length documentaries and more than 100 web-based videos with over 1,100,000 cumulative YouTube views; collaborated with internationally renowned artists and partnered with numerous agencies and organizations including California Migrant Education and the U.S. State Department.
