Susan G. Komen® Houston
602 Sawyer Street
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer. In 1982 that promise became Susan G. Komen®, launching the global breast cancer movement and the largest group of volunteers and grassroots advocates to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all, and energize science to find the cures. With the guidance and support of trusted volunteers, Susan G. Komen® Houston was established in 1990, and is now the largest source of non-profit funding for breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment in Southeast Texas.
Susan G. Komen's® mission is to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. Komen Houston serves Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty and Montgomery counties through educational outreach and grant funding to qualified 501c3 organizations. These 501c3 organizations help countless breast cancer survivors and their families get the treatment and support they need.
