About Us

The AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center in Boston is a tangible reflection of the American Cancer Society's commitment to improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their loved ones. Hope Lodges are a 'home away from home' made available at no cost to patients undergoing active outpatient treatment for cancer.

AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center's 40 private guest suites provide a supportive atmosphere for cancer patients and their families during a difficult and emotional time. The suites each include a sitting room, bathroom, and bedroom with two beds. The common areas include a library, courtyards, and a meal preparation and dining area that encourage patients and caregivers to discuss their experiences, share stories, eat meals together, and draw strength from each other.

The Hope Lodge allows cancer patients to focus on recovery, offering transportation to treatment and the on-site resources of an American Cancer Society quality of life center. In addition to serving Hope Lodge guests, the center will reach out to the community, offering information, resources, services, and support.

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy, and service.
