NEW HOPE SHELTER INC

  • Mission

The mission of New Hope Shelter, Inc. is to provide a sanctuary for those experiencing homelessness in Harvey, Marion, and McPherson Counties by uniting the local church into a nurturing community which restores hope through a growing relationship with Christ.

    About Us

New Hope Shelter provides emergency and temporary housing to men, women, and families from Harvey, Marion, and McPherson Counties. New Hope is funded through private contributions from churches, businesses, and individuals. New Hope Shelter began as Harvey County Homeless Shelter in March of 2005. Our name changed in 2014, which brought us to define our service area of the tri-county area. We are supported by over 600 volunteers in the local area that help to cover evening shifts, provide the evening meals, and work with staff in various ways to provide for the operation of New Hope Shelter. It is through the love of Christ that we exist and it is through the love of Christ we share with those in need of hope. Those that are here for temporary housing are part of our Life Restoration Program, which is in place with the goal of them make life changes that promote sustainable housing.
