    Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc was founded in 1913 as a sisterhood of college-educated women, dedicated to public service. The North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter was chartered in 1980 to support the culturally rich and diverse community of Northern Manhattan. North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter has grown in numbers and spirit to a current membership of more than 150 active sorors. We have held steadfast to our original vision and purpose and developed projects and programs thoroughly rooted in Delta's Five-Point Program Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Political Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health providing programming to the diverse residents of the north manhattan community.
