About Us
The Sports Shed, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that collects new and gently used sports equipment and distributes it to hundreds of kids in under-resourced areas. Our mission is to provide them with what they need so they can have opportunities to engage in sports and other physical activities. Playing sports has a positive impact on a child’s health, self-esteem, work ethic and sense of belonging. The goal is to give kids a chance to reach their full potential. Since 2009 The Sports Shed has been helping in this way all over the Chicagoland area.
