At Meals On Wheels Yolo County, we are more than a meal delivery service; we are a lifeline for seniors throughout our community. Our mission is to ensure that every elderly resident receives not only nutritious meals but also moments of connection and care, enhancing their quality of life and fostering their independence and dignity.

    About Us

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, something truly meaningful happens across Yolo County. Our volunteers and staff don’t just deliver meals. They deliver care. Using fresh, local ingredients that reflect the bounty of our region, we prepare nourishing food tailored to meet the dietary needs of older adults. But what we bring to their doorsteps is so much more than a hot meal.

For many of our seniors, this is the only knock on the door they’ll get that day.

It’s a lifeline. A moment of connection. A reminder that someone sees them, someone cares, someone showed up just for them.

We don’t stop at food. We check in. We notice when something feels off. We connect people to other resources when they need more than we can give. We offer wellness programs that focus on thriving, not just surviving. Because we believe aging at home should come with dignity, safety, and the kind of support that says, “You matter.”

And at the heart of it all? Our volunteers. Everyday people with big hearts deliver meals, prepping in the kitchen, helping behind the scenes. They’re neighbors helping neighbors, and we seriously couldn’t do this without them.

We’re also deeply grateful for the donors and community partners who keep us going. Their support means we can keep showing up, keep scaling up, and keep saying “yes” when another senior reaches out for help.

At Meals on Wheels Yolo County, we aren’t just delivering food; we’re building a community where no senior is left behind. One meal, one visit, one human connection at a time.

Join us. There’s a place for you here.
