About Us

Jackson Action Coalition (JAC) is a nonprofit organization providing services for the community, youth, and seniors in the Chicago area. JAC's goal is to foster a commitment to youth and seniors that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future. Only through personal relationships can a sense of individual responsibility be reestablished. JAC’s mission is to “bridge the gap and bring generations together by empowering our community, youth, and seniors through community outreach, services, and events.”

JAC’s goal is to empower the community through outreach services that will empower and uplift members of the community. JAC will focus on services and events that will empower the community, events that will uplift the community and bring the residents of the community together.

JAC’s goal is to empower youth. JAC realizes through repeated failures in the classroom and the development of destructive habits, at-risk young people have lost faith in the possibilities that await them if they are successful in putting their lives together. To accomplish this goal, young people must be in a caring, inclusive learning environment that promotes their best effort and reinforces personal respect.

JAC's goal is also to empower seniors and bridging the gap between the Youth and the seniors and empowering them both at the same time.

Jackson Action Coalition (J.A.C.) is a nonprofit organization providing positive community outreach services for at-risk youth, young adults, and seniors in various communities. We provide an environment of casual dialogue and understanding to help youth and young adults develop constructive outlets for self-expression, self-awareness, self-esteem and personal growth. Through repeated occurrences of rugged lifestyle members of the community have become repressed and oppressed in their confidence, beliefs and faith for any hope of possibilities for success.

J.A.C. uses a therapeutic treatment of rehabilitation to help improve patterns of behavior to prevent delinquent acts in the future. Our structure and philosophy are non-traditional and we tailor ourselves through a network of members who exhibit leadership skills and qualities. J.A.C. has many goals but our ultimate goal is to be an example of the philosophy of change. In order to carry out the mission of community change we understand that it is going to take a collective unit of young generational leaders to accomplish society’s objective for improving ones quality in life. J.A.C.’s MISSION- Bridging the gap and bringing generations together by empowering our community, youth, and seniors through community outreach.

The mission of the Jackson Action Coalition (JAC) is the pursuit of the following principles:

  • Commitment: JAC wants to inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and instill a sense of hope in the future.
  • Responsibility: The focus of JAC is to empower youth in establishing goals and following through on commitments.
  • Possibility: JAC wants to expand the perspective of the community, of young people and of seniors to make them aware of life's possibilities.
  • Support: An individual is dramatically influenced by their support system. JAC wants to surround people in a caring, inclusive learning environment.
