    About Us

    Burning Coal Theatre Company is an intimate, professional theatre in downtown Raleigh. We are located in the historic Murphey School Auditorium, which was the school that ended Raleigh segregation in 1960. We usually produce re-imagined classics and new works that connect deeply to our social environment today. All volunteer ushers are able to see our shows for free. We also offer discounts to seniors and military/veterans.
