    About Us

Founded in 2018 through the merger of two longstanding organizations, NWDC has grown into a vibrant hub for environmental learning, wildlife rehabilitation, and community engagement. The River Campus in Pueblo is home to Southern Colorado’s only raptor rehabilitation center, while the Mountain Campus in Beulah has been a place for generations to explore and learn in nature’s classroom.

We invite you to experience NWDC firsthand. Whether you attend an event, explore our trails, or support our mission, you play a vital role in protecting and preserving nature for future generations.
