About Us

Karabo: I am the Solution renders the following services to the needy and desperate children in South Africa.

1. Karabo Loss Support: Is a training program where group facilitators are provided with material and skills to • provide an alternative “family” network. • provide a safe space in which to mourn the loss of a family member or friend. • de – stigmatize loss. • provide a context where emotional healing can start to take place. • provide a launching pad from where Loss Support Group members can start to reach out to other people in distress.

2. Karabo Divorce Support: Is a training program where group facilitators are provided with material and skills to • provide a safe space in which to mourn the divorce of parents • de – stigmatize divorce • provide a context where emotional healing can start to take place. • help the child to deal with new contexts • provide a launching pad from where Divorce Support Group members can start to reach out to other people in distress.

3. Karabo Prevention Is a training program where group facilitators are provided with material and skills to • provide young children with the knowledge and skills to protect themselves from infection with the HI virus. • provide young children with knowledge and skills to manage their health if they are already infected. • de – stigmatize HIV/Aids. • use young children to educate their families about HIV and Aids. • raise up a generation who knows the truth about HIV and Aids and act accordingly. • provide facilitators with material and skills to facilitate all of the above.
