About Us

Girls on the Run is a life-changing character development program to prepare pre-teen girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. Our goal is to reduce the likelihood of at-risk activities including adolescent pregnancies, eating disorders, depression, substance/alcohol abuse problems and suicide attempts. We use exercise, positive reinforcement and encouraging role models to provide these young girls with the confidence they need in those critical pre-teen years.

Our program meets twice per week for 12 weeks and the season culminates with the girls participating in a 5k race. Girls on the Run is a national program with over 55,000 girls participating each year in over 140 councils. Our organization focuses our efforts in the Greater Cincinnati region.
