About Us

The Korean American Association of Greater New York (KAAGNY) has roots dating back to 1921, and was established as a full service organization in 1960. KAAGNY primarily serves the 500,000 Korean-Americans living in the New York Metropolitan Area, and acts as the umbrella organization for over 1,000 professional, educational, religious, and trade organizations.

As a non-partisan, non-profit community-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving the various needs of New York Korean-Americans, KAAGNY endeavors to protect the rights of Korean-Americans and assist them in overcoming any possible difficulties they may encounter, thereby helping them to achieve their dreams. As well as coordinating community activities, educational and cultural activities, and social services for the Korean-American community of New York, KAAGNY also cooperates with various other district and ethnic organizations to further good-will and harmony between the many groups that make up the colorful and elaborate mural of New York.
