About Us
A Child’s Haven’s mission is to provide programs for children, ages two to four, “to overcome the developmental delays caused by abuse and neglect” as well as “to treat dysfunctional families in an effort to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse and neglect.” A Child’s Haven believes that “if you change the child, it changes the future. If you change a child in Greenville, it changes Greenville.” This statement was made by Rita Stone, a volunteer at A Child’s Haven. She along with several volunteers and staff members strove to improve the Greenville community by encouraging and assisting abused and neglected children every day.
