Mission
The mission of Parents Inc. (formerly Parents Anonymous) is to strengthen families in order to prevent child abuse and neglect. Parents Inc. promotes mutual support and parent leadership in order to build strong, safe families. To carry out its mission, Parents Inc. offers free, professionally facilitated self-help groups for parents statewide. Parents Inc. also has the only 24-hour family Helpline you can call or text.
About Us
Parents Inc. offers a unique, supportive, free, and effective approach to strengthening families. Parent leaders and professionally trained facilitators co-lead weekly meetings. The meetings are focused on helping parents become their own vehicle for change. Support is available twenty-four hours a day through the Family Helpline. The following four principles are key to the philosophy of Parents Anonymous: 1. Parent Leadership 2. Mutual Support 3. Shared Leadership 4. Personal Growth
