  • About Us

The Animal Protection Agency (APA) is the only European organisation solely focused on ending the trade in wild animals as pets. We carry out research, education and campaigns, which includes lobbying to improve legislation to protect these animals, and raising awareness of relevant issues concerning the keeping of wild animals as pets. We conduct, and commission, research into the impacts of the wildlife trade on individual animals, biodiversity and the natural environment, as well as the risks of infectious disease between captive wildlife and people.
