About Us

The Sam Noble Museum is one of the finest university-based museums in the world. With more than 10 million objects and specimens in its collections, and 12 curators engaged in research projects around the world, the museum is a vital research division of the University of Oklahoma.

Breathtaking galleries feature awesome dinosaurs, including Sauroposeidon, the world’s tallest dinosaur. Realistic nature dioramas showcase Oklahoma’s biodiversity, including a walk-through limestone cave; and the Hall of the People of Oklahoma traces the history of humans in the state, from the earliest archaeological evidence to modern Native Americans. The museum also offers special exhibitions, school and family programs, a hands-on Discovery Room for kids, plus a museum store and café.
