Imagine a hospital without electricity. No surgery, no lab equipment, no emergency care after sunset. For one billion people worldwide, this is a reality. Electricity is the gatekeeper to the modern medical care that has transformed the developed world, but today 300,000 health facilities are without power. At SunFarmer, our goal is to change that.
SunFarmer is a nonprofit social enterprise focused on providing solar energy for hospitals, schools, businesses, and farms in developing countries. We operate like a business, with a laser focus on both maximizing impact and achieving financial sustainability.We have a global vision, but are currently deploying projects in Nepal.
