Friends of Castaic Lake

Friends of Castaic Lake is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, preserving, and enhancing Castaic Lake for the enjoyment of our community and future generations. Through community events, volunteer opportunities, environmental stewardship, and recreational programs, we work to bring people together, encourage outdoor recreation, and help keep Castaic Lake a welcoming destination for everyone.

Friends of Castaic Lake (FOCL) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization that supports Castaic Lake and the surrounding community through recreational programs, environmental stewardship, and family-friendly events.

We believe Castaic Lake is more than just a place to fish, boat, or enjoy the outdoors. It’s a place where families make memories, friendships are built, and our community comes together.

Throughout the year, we organize and support a variety of programs and events, including:

• Kids Fun Fish: Introducing children to fishing and outdoor recreation through a fun, family-friendly experience.
• Moonlight Madness: Giving families and fishing enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy Castaic Lake after dark.
• Float Tube Fishing Derbies: Bringing anglers together for friendly competition and outdoor recreation.
• Pride in the Lake: Monthly volunteer cleanup events focused on keeping Castaic Lake beautiful.
• Winter Magic: An annual holiday celebration featuring family activities, community partnerships, and a Lighted Boat Parade.
• Community Partnerships: Working alongside local businesses, organizations, and volunteers to support programs that benefit our community.

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. From helping at events and welcoming families to supporting lake cleanups and assisting behind the scenes, our volunteers make these programs possible.

Whether you’re looking to give back, meet new people, gain volunteer experience, or simply make a difference in your community, there is a place for you at Friends of Castaic Lake.

Together, we’re helping make Castaic Lake a place our community can enjoy for generations to come.
