  • About Us

Founded in 1993 by a group of volunteer environmentalists dedicated to the health and vitality of the Wood River Valley of Central Idaho, the ERC is the community’s resource for environmental information and action.

Mission: Through education, leadership and collaboration, the ERC is the catalyst for sustainable living in the Wood River Valley.

Vision: Our goal is to help our community understand, value and thrive in a sustainable environment.

The ERC's educational efforts focus on youth education; the reduction and elimination of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers; maintaining healthy, dog-waste free recreational trail heads throughout the valley; recycling and waste reduction outreach and education; as well as developing a sense of place through connecting people to nature.
