Patan Devi Foundation is a registered as Trust on 23 April 2015. We are supporting work that can be taken to significant scale, have a tangible and lasting impact, and improve the government's capacity to partner with civil society organizations. We do this by strengthening networks across the country, with particular attention to helping the country's clusters of poverty—its remote himaliyan lands, central dry lands and tribal belt, as well as urban slums—where families live off assets that are particularly precarious or degraded. We also support efforts to combat the socioeconomic marginalization of tribal communities, women and adolescent girls, and religious minority communities. Developing cadre of community leaders and volunteers in un-served areas, particularly in high altitude and inaccessible rural/tribal areas with the help of CSOs, NGOs and PRIs to provide timely and quality services to the needy people, particularly women, children and other disadvantaged people. Initiating livelihood and income generation activities among poor women and disadvantaged people through skill development, functional vocational trainings and encouraging them for small entrepreneurships. Forming self help groups of poor women, adolescent girls and disadvantaged people and help them to get grant or loan from concerned departments, Banks and other financial institutions. Developing Patan Devi Foundation as Micro Finance Institution to cater to the financial needs of the poor women and disadvantaged people in urban and rural areas.
