LEAGUE OF MEXICAN AMERICAN WOMEN

  • Mission

The mission of the League of Mexican-American Women is to promote the advancement of Latinas through educational attainment, leadership development, cultural enrichment, and serving the community.

    About Us

Founded in 1973 in Fresno, the League of Mexican American Women (LMAW) was created to provide opportunities for education, leadership, cultural pride, and community involvement. Today, we are a nonprofit with a 50+ year legacy of service and scholarship support across the Central Valley. We’ve awarded over $646,000 in scholarships, hosted signature events like the Adelante Mujer Conference, Fiesta Navideña Fashion Show, and annual Frida Fun Run, while our members serve on commissions and advocate for equity and education.
