    Homeward Bound Pet Rescue Inc is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless companion animals that have been abandoned, owner surrendered or rescued from local high-kill county shelters.

    About Us

    This is a small animal rescue, volunteer run, that is dedicated to rescue dogs and cats in Gilmer County GA and surrounding areas. Since 2000, we have rescued and placed into forever homes over 7000 dogs and cats. Our awesome group of volunteers ensure our dogs are walked and fed twice a day, are socialized and receive necessary medications and vet care. Our cats get plenty of play time along with their food and medications. We also have opportunities with our phone team, answering questions and providing information about our organization. You might also enjoy working at our thrift store, Paws and Claws, in downtown Ellijay.
