CHERISHED TAILS SENIOR SANCTUARY
Mission
Our mission is to create a safe place for pets, by providing sanctuary to senior cats & dogs on either a temporary or permanent basis for those who find themselves homeless in their "golden years". We have a combination of adoptable animals as well as those that will live out the remainder of their lives receiving love, dignity and care, either at the sanctuary facility or with our wonderful foster families.
About Us
Cherished Tails has helped over 340 dogs and cats since starting in July 2017. A typical animal in our rescue is older than 7 years and/or needs medical care. We adopt out pets after they have had medical care or have minor and maintainable medical issues. Cherished Tails has adopted over 200 animals so far, but we also have between 30-40 dogs and cat in long-term care or fospice care (foster hospice) at any given time. We are a small group of about 40 fosters and volunteers. We hope to more effectively help more senior pets in the future.
