Collective Initiatives Inc. is a nonprofit organization focused on economic development in under-resourced communities. Our work includes Business Management Services and Community Development Initiatives. Our efforts are designed to foster equality and equity among under-resourced entities, groups, and communities.   

We are a minority woman-led organization that aims to enhance prosperity and quality of life for all members of the communities we serve. Our mission is to foster social and economic development by improving social conditions and increasing business viability within those communities. Our goal, as the proverb says, is not to give people fish so that they may eat for a day, but to teach people to fish so that they may eat for a lifetime. 

Business Management Services: Collective Initiatives Inc. provides business management and operations support services. We tailor our services to specifically support nonprofit organizations and small businesses predominately owned by members of marginalized groups. Our services currently include organizational development, financial management & bookkeeping, online business development, and human resources support. Our work is centered around building a business’s infrastructure by identifying and implementing logistics, processes, and practices needed to build a solid and sustainable foundation for growth. By fostering sustainable businesses, we are increasing economic sustainability in the communities they serve. 

Community Development Initiatives: Collective Initiatives Inc. curates activities and cultivates partnerships with various organizations that advocate for causes that align with our values. Those causes include economic development in underserved communities, racial and gender equity for people of color and women, and mental health and wellness for all.
