Academy of Indian Music and Arts is a Non Profitable Registered Charitable trust, founded by Padmabhushan Dr.TV Gopalakrishnan, the legend of Indian music industry in 1984.

Since its inception , it has grown from its grass roots into a haven of Indian music and allied arts and has given life to many aspirants of music and arts.

AIMA aims to bring together people of all communities and cultural collaborations transcending the barriers of language, race, religion and  diverse cultural traditions.

AIMA Creates opportunities for the promotion, preservation , presentation & professional development of musicians of different genres.

It works with sensitivity with those under-represented groups whose cultural aspirations and contributions remain unrecognized and untapped.

The art forms of focus include Indian Classical(carnatic and Hindusthani ) & Semi-Classical Music, Devotional Music, contemporary music and experimental music .
