About Us
Founded in 1973, Planet Drum promotes a grassroots approach to ecology that emphasizes sustainability, community self-determination, and regional self-reliance. Planet Drum's activities include information and referrals for members, a bi-annual newsletter, an on-line bay area and all bioregions Green City Calander of events, an urban sustainability project in Ecuador, and monitoring the environmental impact of the Winter Olympics. Also, we have an on-line energy exchange store making available hard to get bioregional resources, crafts and books.
