The Institute of Education was founded in 1902 and has established itself as a world-leading education institution. In December 2014, the IOE became a School of UCL and is now the UCL Institute of Education. As such, the IOE is now part of one of the world's leading multi-faculty institution ranked 7th in the world (QS World University Rankings 2016).
