About Us

The Yale chapter of the International Society of Tropical Foresters provides a forum for students with interests and experiences in linking natural resource conservation and management with economic development. Attracting students worldwide from diverse sectors such as conservation finance, community development, stakeholder engagement, tropical ecology, and forest governance, the ISTF stimulates participation of Yale students and the broader academic community in issues topical and salient to conservation and development in tropical regions around the globe. The Yale ISTF group organizes an annual conference addressing emerging trends in tropical forest conservation and management.
