NV Outdoor School's AmeriCorps Program

  • About Us

Nevada Outdoor School's AmeriCorps Program helps to recruit US citizens for a year of service at local non-profits in rural northern Nevada. As an AmeriCorps member, individuals receive professional development, a living allowance of $950, on-the-job training, health insurance, and at the end of a year of service a $4,725 education award. The non-profits who benefit from an AmeriCorps member are a beneficiary of a human resources grant and are able to increase their outreach and capacity in the community through a partnership with AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps members directly serve the community by teaching, tutoring, feeding the hungry, rescuing wildlife, caring for the sick, and much, much more!
