    The North Shores Improvement Association (NSIA) was founded 76 years ago to improve the quality of life in our community.It represents the area from South Ponte Vedra South to the St. Augustine Inlet. Over the years NSIA has been successful in representing our community regarding issues and recommendations to county & state officials and has developed many projects to enhance and benefit the community.Members of the Association built our Community Center and Volunteer Fire House, which is now part of the civic and recreational complex at Meadow Avenue and First Street. The property has a playground, tennis court, ball field, dog park and community garden managed as North Shores Park by St. Johns County.As a result of a formal Vision begun 20 years ago & the implementation of that vision by community volunteers like yourself in a citizen/government partnership with St. Johns County, we have become a model for the State of Florida,winning many planning awards.

    About Us

    The run supports the efforts of the North Shore Improvement Association (NSIA) a non-profit organization and this year’s charity the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. Previous proceeds, after charity contribution, were used to remodel the NSIA Community Center. This resulted in a beautiful facility in which we host many programs such as: Art Programs, Church services, Bingo, Pilates, Yoga and Tai Chi classes etc. The center includes a community garden, children’s playground, basketball court, tennis courts and a dog park for use by the community. This year in addition to on-going maintenance, proceeds will help support the many community initiatives NSIA are affiliated with for example: the development of the Multi-Use Trail targeted to run up A1A Scenic Highway and the Vilano Action Network. All this is made possible through your sponsorship .
