  • Mission

Our mission is to promote the compassionate and humane treatment of cats and dogs by providing resources and services to improve their welfare. Our vision statement is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in crisis; ensure healthy pets through education, advocacy, and affordable services; and inspire a community where the animal-human bond is celebrated and nurtured.

    About Us

The Pensacola Humane Society is a Florida 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill animal shelter. We receive no funds from national, state, or local government entities and instead rely on donations from individuals and businesses in the community. Since our inception in 1943, the Pensacola Humane Society has been dedicated to re-homing cats and dogs and educating the community about responsible pet ownership. In 2024, the organization had 720 adoptions of cats and dogs, gave out 8,934 pounds of pet pantry food, performed 970 surgeries, and had 5,256 volunteer hours.
