GLOBIO is an education non-profit whose mission is to engage children in cross-cultural dialog and learning. We create web based learning resources for kids in the hope that educating them about the world will inspire them to not only respect one another but to become informed global citizens who wish to use resources wisely and conserve local and global biodiversity. All of GLOBIO's kid's programming is free-of-charge, child-safe, and 100% free of advertisements. GLOBIO's primary program, Glossopedia, is a rich multimedia encyclopedia of life designed specifically for kids. It's full of engaging photos, video, animation and other interactive features. As a resource for the classroom and at home, Glossopedia benefits children throughout the greater Portland area anywhere they can get online.
