FRIENDS OF THE MURRIETA LIBRARY

  • Mission

As the Friends of the Murrieta Library, our mission is to support the Murrieta Public Library through fund-raising, advocacy and volunteerism, and to promote awareness of and support for the Library as it serves the informational, educational, cultural and recreational needs of our Community.

    About Us

Friends of the Murrieta Library, a 501(c)(3) organization, was founded by Carol Kravagna and the late Dorothy Renon in 1996 to bring a library to the City of Murrieta.

To date, the Friends have raised over $1,200,000 to support the Library. They have donated approximately $862,400 of that amount for the Library collection and programs, a baby grand piano, computers and furnishings. We have investment and savings funds that remain available to meet future Library needs.

Friends of the Murrieta Library looks forward to continuing to support the Library collection and programs, especially the children’s summer reading programs, through operation of its bookstores and other fundraising activities. We are proud to be active partners in this vibrant community resource, the Murrieta Public Library.
