IBSA staff, volunteers, and interns are engaged in a variety of successful efforts that promote and support job training, employment counseling and entrepreneurial activities, particularly, activities for youth and low-income adults receiving public assistance. IBSA also provides services for clients through contractual relationships for other social service development, retention and support services.
We currently provide direct services working with youth and adults in Topeka and some remote opportunities.
In partnership with programs sponsored by other community organizations, our agency provides orientation sessions to a variety of audiences as an introduction to the elements, realities and benefits of employment, training and entrepreneurship.
Presentations are made throughout the year and are shaped to fit audiences as appropriate. What is different is that our clients must take responsibility to develop their own networks of mentors that provide a broad range of consulting support and assistance to our clients, students and interns.
In some instances our work is done through volunteers and in others, adults play an appropriately compensated role. IBSA has several corporate business entities that have been consistent in supporting our youth and adult initiatives and we continue to expand the number of business partners and associates committed to our programs success.
